Bathinda, India – The Guru Gobind Singh Refinery (GGSR), owned by Hindustan Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) and built by Engineers India Limited (EIL), has been operating in Punjab since 2012. It has a capacity of 9 million tons/year (180,000 barrels/day) and receives crude oil from Mundra, a town on the coast of Gujurat State, through a pipeline over 1,000 km long. Maspero Elevatori supplied three explosion-proof industrial elevators, ATEX certified, under two different contracts (EIL and Technip), providing continuous, efficient, punctual service from the early design phases to the elevators manufacturing, using the best EX-rated components available in the market, and then installing and commissioning them and providing after-sale assistance. The ability to follow the project first-hand with the best technical capacity in all phases of construction, including maintenance, was the winning factor that enabled Maspero Elevatori to acquire this demanding, challenging contract.
