Genova, Italy – The Sampierdarena section of the Ligurian capital will soon acquire a new public connection between the central area and the upper section, after the old installation was closed eight years ago and replaced by a shuttle bus. Maspero Elevatori, in fact, has built an inclined elevator linking Via Cantore to Corso Scassi, providing ready access to the Villa Scassi hospital. The project is particularly innovative because the cabin will traverse an initial horizontal section, all along what was once a pedestrian tunnel, and then scale the 26-meter hill, constantly attached to the cable that draws it horizontally and then hooks up to the vertical system. The ascent/descent will therefore have no intermediate stops. This is a major project to upgrade public transportation awarded to our company based on our long experience and references acquired over the years in the international public infrastructure field.
